Mr. Cribley represents operating businesses with respect to a wide range of business issues. His clientele includes domestic as well as foreign owners of businesses and properties.

Among his clients are a bioenergy consortium, specialty contractors, rent-a-car companies, an international data entry company, property owners and machinery distributors and investors.

Mr. Cribley has represented various clients in acquisitions and sales of businesses, including complex hotel purchases and sales, an old-line sugar plantation, an island-wide electricity producer, an inter-island tug and barge company, a vacation condominium manager, a macadamia nut factory, a plumbing supply distributor, and various restaurants and retail store operators.

Mr. Cribley is counsel to a continuing care retirement community and has acted in all phases of the development of its project, including obtaining a Certificate of Need, pre-construction financing and tax-free bond authorization.

He served as Honorary Consul for Sweden in Hawai‘i from 1988 to 2016 and was awarded the Royal Order of the Polar Star by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden.

Mr. Cribley is a co-author of the “Doing Business in Hawaii” section of the Doing Business in…Handbook 2008 and 2010, published by the Practical Law Company (PLC) in association with Lex Mundi.
