EXPERIENCE

For over 35 years, Mr. Pang has developed extensive experience in all aspects of real estate development and financing, with an emphasis on acquisitions, complex commercial financing, subdivision development and affordable housing financing. He also assists financial institutions with respect to commercial and residential loans and business entities with organization, governance and transactions.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Pang served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Herman T. F. Lum, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Hawai‘i. He is the author of the “Affordable Housing and Governmental Programs” chapter of the Hawai‘i Real Estate Manual, Volume II published in 2010.

Mr. Pang has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawai‘i Bar Association and as a director of the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association of Hawai‘i and the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu. He has chaired the Opinion Committee of the Real Property & Financial Services Section of the Hawai‘i Bar Association, since it published the Hawai‘i 2000 Report Regarding Lawyers’ Opinion Letters In Mortgage Loan Transactions.

Mr. Pang has been recognized as a top ranked attorney for his work in real estate by Chambers & Partners, the preeminent lawyer referral service in its Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, 2020-2022 editions.

Jon M. H. Pang served as the Managing Director of the firm from 2015 to 2020.
