Matthew concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, corporate governance and strategy, business and tax law, and business litigation, including commercial foreclosure.
Matthew graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Associate Justice Richard W. Pollack of the Hawaii Supreme Court. While attending law school, Matthew received numerous CALI awards, served as a technical editor for the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review, received the 2014 Carl K. Mirikitani, Jr. Valedictory Prize, and was a 2014 commencement speaker. Matthew holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, Shidler School of Business. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law.
