Matthew concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, corporate governance and strategy, business and tax law, and business litigation, including commercial foreclosure.
Matthew graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Associate Justice Richard W. Pollack of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court. At law school, Matthew received numerous CALI awards, served as a technical editor for the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review, received the 2014 Carl K. Mirikitani, Jr. Valedictory Prize, and was a 2014 commencement speaker. Matthew holds a Master's in Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Shidler School of Business. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. Matthew enjoys ocean diving, hiking, and velociraptor-related injury litigation.
